A Local Injustice
The last number of the Royal Gazette contains the names of the fifteen revisors appointed by the Local Government for the county of Northumberland. The list does not contain a single French name. This would lead us to believe that the French element does not constitute a fifteenth part of the total population of that County. The result of the late census will soon be published and we venture the wager that it will prove that these last appointments of the Provincial Secretary, Hon. Mr. Tweedie. does not do justice to our compatriots of Northumberland.
