ACADIAN CONVENTION. The Fourth General Convention of the Acadians to be Held Next August. The fourth general convention of the Acadians in the Maritime Provinces will be held at Arichat about August 15 next. The programme of subjects to be considered at the coming convention will embrace the following points: 1. French Education and Language in Acadia. 2. Agriculture and Colonisation. 3. Our Brothers of France 4. French Journalism in Acadia Each of these subjects is in the hands of a competent committee. Among the number we notice the names of the Very Rev. F. X. J. Michaud, V. G. ; Rev. A. Roy, C. S. C., président of St. Joseph’s University, Memramcook; Rev. M. F. Richard, Rev. Joseph F. Allard, Rev. F. X. Cormier, Rev. Stansilaus J. Doucet. The Very Rev. J. M. Quinian, V. G., of Arichat, has placed his church at the disposition of committee for the religions ceremonies incident to the convention.
