At a meeting of the Firemen of the city held on Monday evening last it was decided that twenty men from the different companies should go to St. John on the 18th of May to take part in the demonstration which is to be given there in honor of the landing of the Loyalists. A petition is to be laid before the City Council asking that the “Silsby” be taken down and that $100 be granted to defray expenses.
