What Another Acadian Thinks.
MR. EDITOR, -- In the Times of to-day an Acadian desires to know who were the friends of his people in the school contest of 1872 and 1874. Well, then, “let us see.” Was Josiah Wood, or John A. Humphrey, or John L. Harris, or H. T. Stevens, a friend of the Acadians? The former gave utterance to his friendship at the hustings at Dorchester, and the editorials of the Times newspaper give ample evidence as to the kind of love and friendship H. T. Stevens had for the Acadians and their respected Principal of St. Joseph’s and his associate clergy. It’s rather late in the day for these hypocritical boodlers to masquerade as friends of the Acadian people.
