Acadiensis The October quarterly issue of “Acadiensis”, David Russell Jack, editor, is an unusually interesting number. In subject matter it ranges all the way from the sixteenth century doings of the French to biographical sketches of two of our lady singers. A poem entitled “The Unknown”, by Charles Campbell, is the best bit of magazine poetry that we have read for many a day. In “The Indians of Acadia” the editor gives us a glimpse of the aboriginal inhabitants of this Province. A glance at the titles of the remainder of the contents will give an idea of the varied filed this magazine covers. “Historic Lonnsburg as it is to-day,” the Daisy” (a dainty conceit by W.P. Dole), “Col. Rob. Moodie”, “La Valliere of Chicgnecto”, “Two Acadian Musicians”, “Book-Plates”, etc., etc. St. John. N.B., Russel Jack, editor and publisher.
