No less than three couples were married yesterday morning in the Catholic Church. Elsewhere, we have a notice of one couple; another was of Acadian decent, and the other belonged to Chatham. We believed it was Dean Swift who used to say that so many marriages were a sign of poor times, but we live in an age when people consult their pockets before their hearts; so the Dean’s theory falls to the ground. – Chatham North Star.
