Loyalist Society The regular monthly meeting of the N. B. Loyalist Society was held last night, when a paper was read by Rev. Dr. Raymond on Some of the Loyalists in Arms during the war of the American revolution. The learned doctor dealt with the various corps, giving the names of many provincial officers, together with the number of men attached to each corps, and after the declaration of peace, with the grants of land made to these men in New Brunswick. The men were settled by corps as far as possible, with officers in each location. After the paper, a motion was passed pledging the society to assist in the celebration of the tercentenary of the discovery of the St. John river. The members of the council of the society were appointed a committee to deal with the matter.
