Loyalist Gathering. The Loyalist Society of St. John are now making arrangements for a large gathering of the descendants of Loyalists, to be held at Gagetown on the 19th July, at which time it is contemplated having a celebration of the centennial anniversary of the dedication of the church, which was first erected by the Loyalists at that place. Some very prominent speakers are expected to be there and a number of other attractions are offered. It is intended to invite descendants of Loyalists from all parts of the province, both ladies and gentlemen, as well as their friends, to take part in the excursion. A steamer will be provided to take the visitors up from St. John and lunch will be provided on board the steamer at a moderate coat, as well as arrangements for taking picnic baskets. Something of a similar arrangement will be made for the visitors from the section round Fredericton. In order that the excursion may be made available for as many as possible, it is the intention of the society to make such charges as will barely cover the necessary expenses. With a view to arrive at probable cost and number to be accommodated, all those who are willing to take in the reunion are requested to communicate with Mr. Ira Cornwall, at the board of trade rooms, St. John, stating the number of tickets they are willing to take.
