A Centennial Book There has just been issued from the press of Messrs. J. & A. Millan, a handsome book, which every citizen should buy. It is by Joseph W. Lawrence, Esq., and bears the short title “Footprints.” Mr. Lawrence has collected reports of a great many very interesting facts and incidents connected with our early history – social, personal, political and historical notes, portraits of eminent citizens, pictures of historic buildings, fac-similes of former newspapers, all of the very greatest interest in connection with our Centennial year, and such matters as display the patient research and careful investigation which Mr. Lawrence gives to subjects of this kind. A brief memoir of Mr. Lawrence himself, written by A. A. Stockton, Esq.’ and a portrait, is the fitting introduction to this most interesting volume.
